Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to determine mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic sessions utilizing various evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy to foster client progress.
- Implement behavioral techniques that encourage client engagement and empowerment, adapting approaches based on client feedback and progress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards.
- Participate actively in professional development opportunities, including webinars, peer supervision, and conferences, to enhance therapy techniques and expand clinical knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work with individuals and couples facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. Your ability to create a safe space where clients can express themselves openly and honestly will be paramount in fostering therapeutic relationships that lead to positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active licensure in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting post-graduation.
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and provide empathetic support.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, particularly behavioral therapy techniques.
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competence in therapy.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
