Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive intake assessments to understand your clients' mental health histories and immediate needs.
- Developing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic methodologies specific to client needs.
- Managing an appropriate caseload of clients while ensuring they receive consistent and quality therapy sessions.
- Documenting session notes accurately to track client progress and treatment outcomes while maintaining confidentiality.
- Engaging in scheduled supervision and peer consultations to enhance your professional development and refine therapeutic skills.
- Collaborating with educational institutions to ensure the delivery of appropriate mental health services funded by schools, enabling a focus on therapy without the burden of billing insurance.
- Providing follow-up and ongoing support to clients, monitoring their progress, and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our services cater primarily to individuals experiencing a wide array of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will work closely with clients of diverse backgrounds and ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your role is crucial in helping them develop coping strategies, resilience, and effective solutions to their mental health needs.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- An active and unrestricted license in the state of Georgia as a social worker (LCSW), marriage and family therapist (LMFT), licensed professional counselor (LPC), psychologist (PsyD or PhD), or equivalent.
- Two or more years of relevant clinical experience providing psychotherapy to adults, demonstrating a commitment to quality care.
- Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based therapies, showcasing your flexibility in therapeutic approaches.
- Strong documentation skills, ensuring that all client interactions are logged accurately.
- A clear professional record, with no disciplinary actions from any licensing board.
Preferred Experience
While the above qualifications are essential, preference will be given to candidates who also exhibit:
- Additional training in other therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, or Trauma-Informed Care.
- Experience working in a telehealth environment, as this role will operate entirely remotely.
- Knowledge of school and community-based mental health services, as we often collaborate with educational institutions.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package for this position ranges between $70,000 and $100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and skills. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:
