Radiance Counseling Center LTD is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist, including LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to join our dynamic outpatient team in Atlanta, Georgia. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the emotional and psychological needs of patients, taking into account their medical conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement customized treatment plans that address both mental and physical health needs.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
- Provide crisis intervention during times of acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support for clients.
- Educate patients about the relationship between mental and physical health, empowering them with coping strategies to manage their conditions.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning to enhance treatment outcomes and foster collaborative care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in integrated care and mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our practice specializes in working with patients who present with co-occurring mental health issues alongside medical conditions such as chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. This unique focus allows our therapists to provide empathetic and informed care that directly addresses the complexities of each patient's situation, ensuring they receive the comprehensive support they require for optimal health and wellness.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
- Expertise in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering integrated care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike.
- Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly within integrated or outpatient settings.
- Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and crisis intervention is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
