Work Environment
This role is designed for a remote work setting, enabling counselors to maintain a desirable work-life balance while providing service through our outpatient office. Counselors will work closely with clients on an appointment basis, ensuring flexible scheduling to meet clients' needs. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to establish individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and group sessions. Techniques may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to deliver holistic care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's health are addressed.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with all ethical standards and legal regulations governing counseling practices.
- Stay current on advancements within the mental health field by participating in professional development workshops and training sessions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The LPC will primarily work with clients struggling with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. A focus on patient-centered therapy ensures that each client's concerns are heard and integrated into their treatment plan, allowing for tailored support that promotes growth and healing.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical outpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal standards relevant to the field of counseling.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related software.
Preferred Experience
- Specialization in trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
