Position Overview
Expressive Expression Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health counseling and support to individuals facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Work Environment
This role is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with colleagues in our outpatient office setting. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status and identify their specific needs.
- Design individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies and culturally competent methodologies.
- Engage in regular therapeutic sessions with clients, providing ongoing support, encouragement, and tools to facilitate progress towards their personal goals.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and other specialists, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in our EHR system while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In your role, you will primarily work with a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with multiple mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients from various cultural backgrounds, which will enhance your counseling practice and deepen your understanding of diverse mental health experiences. Qualifications
- A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Must hold a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
- A minimum of four years of related experience in mental health counseling is required.
- Solid understanding of a range of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Ability to provide both individual and group therapy in a culturally responsive manner.
- Proven crisis intervention skills and calmness during high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with diverse clients.
- Experience with EHR systems and adaptability to various computer applications.
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, respecting boundaries, and ensuring client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with a wide variety of patient populations, including those with trauma histories or complex mental health needs.
- Demonstrative experience in community outreach or public health initiatives would be an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
