This role operates within our innovative Community Health Clinic setting, which allows the flexibility of remote work while engaging with clients from various backgrounds. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans for clients.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers in a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain meticulous clinical records that adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring the privacy and security of client information.
- Stay current with advancements in the mental health field through continuous professional development, workshops, and training opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The LPC will provide support to a diverse population of clients, ranging from individuals facing anxiety and depression to families experiencing relationship challenges. Specializing in trauma, substance abuse, or couple's therapy will be especially beneficial as we aim to address the various needs of our community members. This role emphasizes the importance of understanding and respecting each client's unique background and journey during the therapeutic process.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of two years of experience in providing counseling services in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Solid understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations related to counseling practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Proficient in EMR systems and familiar with other relevant software applications.
Preferred Experience
- Specialization in trauma-informed care, substance abuse therapy, or family and couples counseling is highly desirable.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team to enhance collaborative care for clients.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate new therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices into counseling sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
