Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students from diverse backgrounds, understanding their unique challenges and strengths.
- Develop and implement thorough, individualized treatment plans that address the specific mental health issues and emotional needs of each student.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to various conditions such as ASD, learning disabilities, trauma, and ADHD.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting skills in emotional regulation, coping strategies, and personal development.
- Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to coordinate integrated care for students.
- Deliver crisis intervention and support for students experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response.
- Educate students and their families about mental health issues and available resources to enhance understanding and support.
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to continuously improve service delivery and outcomes.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines that pertain to mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on students within the Special Education Program. This population particularly includes children facing challenges associated with ASD, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma. Your interventions will aim to empower these students, not only by addressing immediate mental health concerns but also by equipping them with tools for long-term success in their academic and personal lives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.
- Possession of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- An understanding of mental health disorders and experience in employing trauma-informed care practices.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a strong emphasis on working within educational or community health settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans.
- Experience in delivering therapy to children and youth in a school or community setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and care coordination.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, representing our commitment to attracting qualified professionals.
