Work Environment
This position primarily operates in a telehealth capacity, allowing counselors to conduct sessions from the comfort of their homes while maintaining flexibility that caters to both clients' and personal needs. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized therapy sessions tailored to each client's unique needs through comprehensive assessments and evaluations.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to facilitate client progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for clients.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records, adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay updated on the latest trends and research in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our client focus primarily encompasses children, adolescents, and their families, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and trauma. Counselors will encounter diverse client backgrounds, making cultural competence and adaptability critical skills in this role.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Valid, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
- A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in clinical settings, demonstrating a strong foundation in practical therapeutic skills.
- Deep understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
- Strong teamwork capabilities, working collaboratively with healthcare providers for comprehensive client service delivery.
Preferred Experience
- Experience specializing in family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly valued.
- Proficiency in telehealth technologies and remote therapy modalities.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a salary range of USD 70,000 – 110,000 per year, alongside various incentives. Additionally, counselors may receive a sign-on bonus and other performance-based bonuses.
