Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to establish clients' mental health status, utilizing clinical interviewing techniques and standardized assessment tools.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, ensuring they reflect the clients' needs and goals.
- Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to facilitate clients' progress in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
- Regularly monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, providing appropriate referrals to psychiatrists or additional medical services when needed.
- Engage clients actively in therapy, offering strategies and tools to empower them on their path to recovery and self-advocacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clientele ranges from children to adults facing a myriad of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, substance abuse issues, and relational conflicts. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, requiring a culturally sensitive approach to therapy. The remote nature of this role expands our reach to patients who may otherwise face barriers in accessing mental health services.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
- A minimum of four years of direct experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical or community mental health setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering therapeutic interventions that are culturally responsive and inclusive.
Preferred Experience
- Experience conducting both individual and group therapy sessions, with a proven track record of effectively managing diverse clinical populations.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, with the ability to navigate high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms to streamline documentation and client communication.
