Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience with a strong background in pediatric hematology/oncology.
- BMT experience preferred; experience in hematology/oncology is acceptable.
- Current BLS, PALS certifications required.
- Active RN license at the time of submission; verification via NURSYS report.
- Expertise with chemo administration (APHON CHEMO) required.
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work the 3x12 night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other weekend.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT).
- Prior experience working in a pediatric oncology or similar specialty unit.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.
- Flu vaccination coverage (no exemptions accepted).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Over 2 years of pediatric hematology/oncology nursing experience.
- Prior experience in BMT settings is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass drug screening, including nicotine testing.
- The facility is nicotine-free.
- Vaccination against influenza is mandatory with no medical or religious exemptions accepted.
- Ability to work in a team, support fellow staff, and contribute to a positive patient care environment.
- Willingness to adhere to scrub color policies (any color acceptable).
