HGS CONSTRUCTIONCLAIM REPRESENTATIVE - COMPLEX CLAIMS UNIT
The Claim Representative is a claim handling role withintheComplex Claims Unit(CCU) – Construction - Hartford Global Specialty (HGS) Claims Division. CCU is a highly specialized claim organization. This role is responsible for the management of construction related general liability claims involving bodily injury, property damage and/or construction defect from inception to final disposition. These claims will involve both primary and excesscoveragesand often involve complex fact patterns requiring analysis of contracts between parties to determine indemnity and contribution obligations and risk transfer opportunities. These claims also commonly involve litigation along with higher exposures. The ClaimRepresentative is accountable for delivering superior customer service and successfully investigatingandmanaging claim exposuresconsistent with corporate claim standards,policiesand procedures and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.
The Claim Representative will demonstrate the ability toproactively managehigh excess and lower-exposure primary claimswith an analytical focus,demonstratingthe ability tocomprehendand communicate facts, issues, and resolution strategies to management and other stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams, with the ability to effectivelyleveragethese tools in a fast-paced professional environment
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Naperville, IL, Alpharetta, GA) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needsarise.
As a condition of your employment, you must obtain andmaintaina State Adjuster's License to process Property & Casualty Insurance Claims in the state(s) supported by your office. Continued employment with The Hartford is contingent upon the successful passage of the Licensing exam(s) within 30 business days from the completion of the licensing training.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
