Work may include communication with surgeons and sales consultants, to gain an understanding of clinical issues and define design parameters.Tasks will include working with cross‑functional project teams through all phases of the product development process.Assist in spec development, design conceptualization and concept prototypingSource vendors for components and sub-assembliesCreate component and assembly drawings for manufacturingDevelop fixtures, tooling and processes for manufacturing of final product through a combination of in‑house and out‑of‑house suppliersPerform testing of prototypes for design evaluationAssist in the development and execution of design verification and validation plans and activities, test plan formation and execution to support regulatory approvalStrong organizational skills to support all aspects of the project including scope definition, and contingency planning.
