Overview This position provides professional claims adjusting services for complex bodily injury and property damage claims, while ensuring all claims are handled in compliance with industry best practices, fair claims practice standards, and company expectations and policies.Key Responsibilities Communicating with Stakeholders - Routinely communicate claim activity and actively participate in regularly scheduled unit meetings and department meetings. Work toward and achieve team objectives. Develop and recommend solutions to claims above designated authority.Investigating Claims - Investigate potential claim exposure to include gathering relevant documents, obtaining statements as necessary and any other information deemed necessary to determine liability. Reviewing and analyzing medical records and medical bills to determine customer injuries and related treatment. Evaluating claims for third party involvement.Reviewing and Processing Claims - Responsible for ~150 complex bodily injury, and property damage claims, based on assignment and jurisdiction. Represent the company when engaging with customers, counsel and third parties to process claims and negotiate settlements within designated authority.Direct Manager/Direct Reports This Position typically reports to the Claims Manager or Sr. Claims ManagerThis Position has 0 Direct ReportsTravel Requirements Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.Physical Requirements Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
