The position will pay between $65,000 - $80,000 based on previous relevant experience and educational credentials. This is a full-time hybrid role with two days in our Marietta office.Position SummaryThe Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and be responsible for supporting activities related to the Company's General Ledger accounting processes. The Staff Accountant will be heavily involved in the preparation and support of the recording of accounting entries, account reconciliations, and play a pivotal role in the Company's accounting processes. Finally, the Staff Accountant will assist in ad hoc, cross-functional finance projects which may arise from time to time.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the Company's month-end accounting close process through the preparation of journal entries and supporting documentationPrepare account reconciliations for general ledger accounts within assigned process areasPerform variance analysis, explaining month over month and quarter over quarter changes in account balances, and identify any potential issuesAssist in the implementation of the Company's new Enterprise Resource Planning system, with input specific to the process areas over which the Staff Accountant has ownershipProvide requested support to external auditorsImplement new accounting processes as needs ariseDevise and implement proprietary, innovative, and automated solutions to complement or supplant current manual processesAssist in the preparation and submission of various business license applications, indirect tax returns, census requests, and other required government forms to support the businessSupport the Company's internal control environment through the execution of certain control activitiesCollaborate with other departments on an as-needed basis for ad hoc projectsQualificationsA successful candidate will have the following personal characteristics and traits as well as technical experience and education:Strong interpersonal and communication skillsDetail-oriented disposition with an ability to step back and see the big pictureSatisfactory understanding of accounting and accounting processesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsEducation and ExperienceRequiredBS or BA in Accounting or related fieldFamiliarity of the full suite of Microsoft Office software solutions, particularly Microsoft ExcelPreferredCPA License or CPA eligibilityMore than one year of relevant experienceFamiliarity with computer programming languages, such as Python or R#J-18808-Ljbffr
