SALT Tax ManagerA State and Local Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of U.S. state and local tax and strategy for the organization across multiple jurisdictions in the United States.We offer a career in SALT practice that gives you the opportunity to help our clients solve business issues related to restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. You'll help assess the client's state and local tax burden and recommend solutions that support overall business objectives. You will also ensure compliance aligns with good business practices and applicable tax laws and rules. You'll help identify and explore indirect tax opportunities related to business expansion, systems & controls, refunds and cash flow, and policy and design.Position DescriptionDeliver profitable SALT services to clients.Manage SALT practice.Provide timely, high‑quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations with tax advice and consultation.Research and resolve technical state and local tax issues.Prepare technical memoranda and other client deliverables.Manage tax assignments and related projects.Plan and coordinate information flow with the client.Review work papers and state tax returns.Participate in the billing and collection process.Recognize opportunities for providing additional services to clients, marketing technical specialty or expertise to clients.Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their development.Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.QualificationsCPA license.BS Degree in Accounting.5+ years of current or recent experience in public accounting or corporate tax department.Familiarity with researching state tax laws and regulations.Strong communication and writing skills.Tax compliance experience/background.EOE.Job # 3944#J-18808-Ljbffr
