The Bookkeeper reports to the Administrative Manager and is responsible for, but riot limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions. accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required.Essential Job DutiesI. Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records2. Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance3. Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts4. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed6. Prepare weekly payroll7. Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes8. Prepare monthly financial statements9. Maintain required business documents10. Prepare annual 1099's11. Assistance with the annual budget and audit process13. New vendor setup and maintenance14. Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies15. Deposit and cash reports16. Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure17. Perform accounting requirements Authority's construction projects18. Perform other related duties as may he requested by the Executive DirectorRequirementsI. Bachelor's degree in Accounting2. Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)3. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles4. 3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office6. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment7. Highly organized and detail oriented8. Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision9. Strong verbal and written communication skills10. Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment11. Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority12.
