Executive Risk Leader, Private Equity and M&AESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:Consistently supports and exemplifies IMA's core valuesLeads executive risk strategy for the firm's National Private Equity & M&A Specialty Practice (including but not limited to the following lines of coverage GPL, VCAP, D&O, EPLI, Crime, Fiduciary, Cyber, Excess lines)Serves as a senior advisor to private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership teamsAssists in practice strategy, market differentiation, and growth initiativesDevelops and maintains underwriter relationships and an understanding of the executive liability marketplace (including carrier appetite, capabilities, and performance history) in order to effectively represent clientsMarkets new and renewal business for Private Equity firms, Venture Capital firms, Family Offices and Private Equity–backed portfolio companies by:Analyzing client financial statements and existing insurance contractsIdentifying gaps and opportunities within insurance programs and developing strategies to improve coverage, structure, and costCommunicating with insurance carriers and leveraging negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, conditions, and pricingBuilds and structures portfolio company insurance programs that align with sponsor objectives, including benchmarking, harmonizing limits and retentions, and identifying opportunities for program efficiencies across the portfolioAssists in negotiating standard endorsement suites and preferred terms with key carrier partners to create consistency and efficiency across programsReviews and compares leading insurance company policy forms; clearly communicates key differences and coverage nuances to internal IMA team members, underwriters, and clientsMaintains effective working relationships with client stakeholders, typically including CFOs, General Counsel, and Private Equity sponsors, serving as a point of contactContributes to the development of client proposals and presentations, and can confidently and clearly present proposal materials to clientsSupports producers with sales efforts related to Executive Risk Solutions (ERS) products, including preparation of marketing materials, coverage comparisons, and strategic recommendationsSupports producers nationally in positioning executive risk solutions within PE-backed and acquisitive organizationsParticipates in client and prospect meetings, stewardship discussions, and thought leadership initiativesManages, mentors and helps develop colleagues across the executive risk and PE and M&A ecosystemESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (continued) include but are not limited to:Collaborates across insurance, employee benefits, retirement, and diligence teams to deliver integrated client solutionsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:College degree with consideration given to those with an advanced degree (i.e., Juris Doctor, Master's in finance and/or business administration)7+ years of relevant experience working in executive liability insurance coverageSignificant experience supporting financial institutions with executive risk solutionsExisting relationships with senior-level underwriters and insurance company executivesDisplays excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written)Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements and influence senior stakeholdersExperience working in a highly collaborative, matrixed environmentProven business development and relationship management capabilitiesAbility to interpret insurance contractsProperty and casualty license required for state of business and fulfills continuing education requirements to retain licenseCompletes additional duties and takes on additional responsibility as the need arisesTravel on occasion when business needs arisePREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:Familiarity with M&A transaction dynamics and transactional insurance solutions preferredExisting relationships with private equity sponsors, law firms, lenders, or deal ecosystem partnersIndustry designations such as CPCU, RPLU, ARM, or CICBenefits: Annual Performance Bonus, Stock Purchase, Medical Plans, Prescription Drugs, Dental, Vision, Family Assistance Program, FSA, HSA, Pre-Tax Parking Plan, 401(k), Life/AD&D, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Long Term Care, Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, Business Travel Accident, Identity Theft, Paid Time Off, Flexible Work Options, Paid Holidays, Sabbatical, Gift Matching, Well-Being Stipend, Personal and Professional Development.
