What You Will Do:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a specialized Medical/Surgical setting with an emphasis on intensive therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond swiftly to emergency needs.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical/Surgical or similar specialty.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certification as a CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse).
- Experience working in a unit with intensive therapy components.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid registered nurse license in the state of Georgia or eligible for licensure.
- Proven experience in a 12-bed Medical/Surgical unit or similar environment.
Other Requirements:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with start times variably from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.
- Willingness to work a 13-week assignment on the Duluth campus, working days (06:45-19:15).
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
- Must have or be willing to obtain licensure, certifications, and relevant travel reimbursements when applicable.
- Ability to work in a relocated unit with a capacity of 12 beds, providing nursing care comparable to Med/Surg with added intensive therapy.
