You'll remain hands-on with estimating and bidding while helping build the systems, relationships, and team structure needed to take the preconstruction department to the next level.What You'll DoLead commercial Division 9 paint and wallcovering estimating from takeoff through proposalManage multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and responsivenessBuild relationships with general contractors, owners, and industry partnersFollow up on bids and help convert opportunities into backlogIdentify and pursue negotiated work and future project opportunitiesPartner with operations and project management to ensure smooth project turnoverHelp establish more efficient estimating processes, standards, and systemsMentor and support the development of additional estimators as the department growsWork directly with company leadership on growth and preconstruction strategyWhat We're Looking For5+ years of commercial Division 9 / paint estimating experienceStrong knowledge of commercial interior and exterior painting, coatings, and wallcoveringsProven ability to independently perform takeoffs, pricing, scope review, and proposalsExperience with PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar softwareStrong organization, follow-through, and communication skillsComfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSomeone who takes ownership and doesn't need to be constantly directedLeadership or mentoring experience is a plusWhy This Opportunity?This is an opportunity to step beyond simply producing estimates and have a real impact on the growth of a preconstruction department.
