Job Description Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room setting, supporting surgical procedures and patient safety from pre-op through post-op recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and medical team during surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active RN license in good standing.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in perioperative or surgical nursing.
- Maintain certifications in BLS and ACLS.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of operating room protocols and surgical procedures.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
