Job Summary:
This RN Oncology position involves providing specialized nursing care in an outpatient oncology setting, supporting patient visits, triage, and treatment procedures. The role emphasizes administering chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and biotherapies to oncologyand hematology patients.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and biotherapies to oncology and hematology patients.
- Support exam visits, triage nurse visits, and treatment visits in a busy outpatient practice.
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatments, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment procedures.
- Comply with all safety protocols and standards set by the facility and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current and active RN license.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience.
- Be certified in AHA BLS.
- Have experience administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
- Demonstrate strong skills in patient assessment and triage.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced outpatient oncology environment.
