Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Acute Surgery Unit in a Med Surg setting. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and hands-on experience in caring for surgical patients.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of the healthcare team.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions in the general and bariatric surgery Med Surg department.
- Assist with a range of surgical cases, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, bariatric procedures, and plastic surgery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care effectively and maintain accurate records.
Work Schedule
The schedule for this position varies and includes night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Holiday Requirements
Candidates must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the Med Surg specialty.
- Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
