Charge RN – Cardiovascular Operating Room
Schedule
Weekend schedule: Friday–Sunday (rotating). Call is required, typically one weekday call/week and approximately one weekend every 5–6 weeks.
Assignment Details
Compensation includes a $5/hr differential for charge duties. Orientation hours are non-billable.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
- Georgia RN or Compact license required at the time of submission.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Epic charting experience required.
- Preferred experience in community hospitals and Trauma I/II settings.
- Scrub experience in cardiovascular/thoracic/vascular cases is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
- Lead nursing staff during surgical procedures and coordinate interdisciplinary support.
- Ensure compliance with unit policies and protocols.
- Monitor patient outcomes and provide necessary interventions.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff members as needed.
Compliance / Notes
All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission, with a maximum of 7 days allowed per contract. No time off may be requested during the orientation week, and holiday expectations apply based on the contract duration.
