Registered Nurse – Pulmonary Thoracic
Schedule: 12hr Nights, 7P - 7A Schedule Varies
Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekly
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within specialty
- Required: AHA BLS & ACLS
- Preferred: NIHSS
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for intermediate medical patients, including those with high-risk respiratory and cardiac thoracic concerns.
- Monitor and manage patients post-surgery, including hepatobiliary and head/neck surgeries.
- Administer respiratory support as needed, including RA, BIPAP, or Optiflow therapies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes in the step-down unit.
- Document patient care and progress according to facility standards and protocols.
- Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Compliance / Notes:
- Must work 2 major holidays of the 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
