Description
- Assess patient needs in an inpatient or outpatient environment and formulate personalized treatment plans
- Implement physical therapy techniques to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
- Engage with a team of nurses, physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to maximize patient outcomes
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and home exercise routines
- Document patient evaluations, treatment methods, and progress as per facility and regulatory standards
- Participate in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure seamless patient care
Education
- An accredited Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree is required
Certifications
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- CPR certification is desirable
- Specialized certifications (e.g., neurologic, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
- Preferred previous work experience
