Litigation Legal AssistantA Litigation Legal Assistant provides administrative and legal support to attorneys handling civil or criminal litigation matters. This role involves managing case files, preparing legal documents, coordinating court filings, maintaining calendars and deadlines, communicating with clients, and supporting trial preparation.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management Organize and maintain physical and electronic case filesTrack litigation deadlines, court dates, and filing requirementsManage document production and discovery materialsMonitor case status and update attorneys regularlyLegal Document Preparation Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, trial bindersFile documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing systemsCalendar & Scheduling Coordinate attorney calendarsSchedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetingsArrange travel and logistics for trials or court appearancesClient & Court Communication Serve as a point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendorsMaintain confidentiality of sensitive legal informationProvide status updates and gather documents from clientsTrial Preparation Assist with exhibit preparation and witness coordinationPrepare trial notebooks and exhibitsCoordinate courtroom technology and logisticsAdministrative Support Manage billing entries and expense reportsHandle mail, scanning, and document management systemsAssist with timekeeping and attorney administrative tasksQualificationsEducation Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience preferredExperience 2+ years of litigation support or legal assistant experience preferredExperience with civil litigation procedures and court rulesSkills Strong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, e-filing systems, document management platformsKnowledge Familiarity with state and federal court procedures, legal terminology, discovery processes, trial preparation practicesPreferred QualitiesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProfessional demeanor and discretionStrong problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented mindset with ability to work independentlyTalantage, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
