OverviewKoch is seeking an experienced patent agent with a business-oriented approach to patent portfolio development to join our integrated intellectual property team supporting the diverse companies of Koch around the globe, including Molex. The role can be located in Wichita, KS; Atlanta, GA; or Lisle, IL.What You Will DoPartner with stakeholders to understand innovations and business objectivesDevelop, shape, and manage global patent portfolios, including overseeing outside counsel in the preparation of patent applications and efficiently managing a global patent docketAssist with competitive patent searches and risks assessmentsSupport in-house counsel with patent enforcement, dispute resolution, and M&A due diligenceAdvance the IP team's transformation through the execution of initiatives that optimize processes and advance the adoption of AIWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Registration to practice before the USPTOUndergraduate degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, optics, or computer scienceAt least three years of patent drafting and prosecution experience in a law firm or corporate environment, with an electro-mechanical focusProficiency with IP management systems and searching tools, such as Anaqua and Acclaim IPWhat Will Put You AheadPrevious experience as an in-house patent practitionerDemonstrated experience developing and using AI tools for improving patent prosecutionCompensationFor this role, we anticipate paying $130,000 - $170,000 per year.
