This connection enables Access To Law Foundation to leverage broad legal experience in support of its mission-driven work.Role DescriptionThe Associate Attorney will provide direct legal services to clients, including conducting intake interviews, evaluating cases, and offering legal advice aligned with the foundation's mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing legal documents, and maintaining accurate case files. The role involves representing clients in negotiations, hearings, and other proceedings, and collaborating with senior attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and holistic solutions. The Associate Attorney will also engage in community outreach, client education, and coordination with partner organizations to expand access to legal support. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA.QualificationsSolid foundation in Law with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulations, preferably with exposure to criminal, family, immigration, contract, or juvenile law.Experience or strong interest in Labor and Employment Law, particularly as it applies to vulnerable and underserved populations.Demonstrated ability to provide clear, ethical Legal Advice and client counseling, with a focus on access to justice and client-centered advocacy.Strong Research skills, including legal research tools, fact gathering, and analysis to support case strategy and document preparation.Effective Negotiation skills for resolving disputes, managing settlements, and advocating for client interests in a variety of legal contexts.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission (or eligibility for admission) in the State of Georgia.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting motions, briefs, and correspondence with clarity and precision.Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Commitment to non-profit work, social justice, and serving diverse communities with empathy, professionalism, and cultural competence.Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in outreach, education, and community engagement activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
