Project Accountants work closely with the Controller to originate and monitor projects budgets, facilitate billing, and perform cost and overall profitability analysis.Assist the Controller in the development and submission of standard project sales and cost proposals, client negotiations, and follow through until proposals are authorized or declinedComplete project setup to include contract, budget, not-to-exceed, and additional project services & change ordersMonitor and track projects & tasks to ensure timely completion, reconciliation, and closure of project tasks and phasesWork with third-party contractors and suppliers to ensure invoices are received and processed in a timely manner. Verify invoices are accurate and comply with agreed upon terms and pricingPrepare and distribute project invoices, coversheets, and other account information in accordance with customer billing requirementsReview customer accounts receivable aging for accuracy and past due invoices. Contact customers for collection of invoices exceeding established payment termsProcess uncollectible receivables as directed by Controller/PresidentReview and analyze project transactions, work-in-process, and profit & loss statements. As appropriate, create, enter, and post expenses, fees, and hours journal adjustmentsReview & report project budget variances. Identify factors and review with project team to create actionable informationPerform on-going analysis of project & program performance.
