The Account Director will play a critical role in managing a major national retail account and its industry‑leading family engagement programs, serving as the day‑to‑day business owner under the guidance of executive leadership.The successful candidate will be equally comfortable in executive meetings, the retail environment, sales presentations and the details of project execution. They will understand how to translate client objectives into actionable programs while ensuring operational excellence from concept through implementation. We are looking for someone entrepreneurial, accountable, and hands‑on—not someone who simply manages meetings and forwards emails.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Account LeadershipServe as the primary day‑to‑day leader and steward of a major national retail account, developing deep expertise in the client's business, objectives, culture, and customers.Take ownership of account performance, proactively identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvement.Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders across marketing, merchandising, operations and supply chain.Partner closely with executive leadership to develop strategic recommendations and long‑term account plans.Anticipate client needs and bring proactive solutions that strengthen the partnership and drive measurable results.Program Development & ExecutionLead the planning and execution of large‑scale family and community engagement programs conducted across retail locations nationwide.Manage recurring monthly retail activations, seasonal initiatives, promotional programs, and custom product development projects.Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Creative, Product Development, Operations, Sourcing, and Supply Chain to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery.Oversee all project timelines, budgets, deliverables, approvals and communications.Maintain exceptional attention to detail while balancing multiple programs simultaneously.Develop a deep understanding of family‑oriented retail programs and experiential customer engagement.Understand the needs and motivations of DIY, home improvement, and family‑focused consumers.Evaluate program performance, customer feedback and market trends to continuously improve the consumer experience.Help create innovative products, activities, and promotional programs that drive participation and strengthen customer loyalty.Mobilize and inspire internal teams to deliver best‑in‑class work and exceptional client service.Foster strong collaboration across teams located in Atlanta, Irvine and Hong Kong.Mentor and develop account service resources while helping build a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Marketing.8+ years of account management, client services, retail marketing, brand marketing, consumer products, experiential marketing, promotional marketing or related experience.Demonstrated success managing large, complex client relationships and cross‑functional teams. Prior experience working with merchandisers or buyers at major retailers preferred.Experience supporting major national retailers, home improvement brands, consumer products companies, family‑focused brands or experiential marketing programs is highly desirable.Strong understanding of retail environments, customer engagement programs and project management. Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.Highly organized, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.Product development, sourcing, promotional products, toy industry or licensing experience is aplus.Experience with nationwide retail activations, local store marketing or field marketing programs is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
