Position Overview We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Pain Management to support services at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune and associated branch clinics. This role involves direct patient care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and comprehensive medication management for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.Services may be required across multiple clinics within a 40-mile radius, with advance notice provided for reassignment (except in emergencies).Services provided 5 days per week , between 0600 – 18008–10 hour shifts with a 30–60 minute unpaid meal breakMaximum of 80 hours per two-week periodSchedule provided one month in advanceGovernment may adjust schedule with 72 hours' noticeNo services required on federal holidaysKey Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services focused on pain managementPerform: Medication therapy management and reconciliationPharmacotherapy planning based on physician diagnosesLaboratory ordering and evaluation to monitor therapy outcomesInitiate, modify, or discontinue medications under established protocolsManage chronic disease states (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, anticoagulation)Monitor medications requiring pharmacokinetic adjustmentsProvide patient counseling on medication use, adherence, and lifestyle modificationsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and specialistsSupport ICU care, pain management strategies, and emergency interventionsConduct adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting in accordance with accreditation standardsProvide clinical education and training to healthcare staffPain Management–Specific Duties Participate in multidisciplinary pain management teamsConduct medication reviews for chronic pain patients, including those at risk for non-compliance or substance misuseDevelop individualized pharmacotherapeutic treatment plansProvide patient and caregiver education on pain management strategiesPrescribe therapies in accordance with MTF policiesPerform or support non-pharmacologic interventions, including auricular acupuncture (as required)Participate in telehealth, tele-consults, and tele-mentoring initiativesMinimum Qualifications Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)Education: Graduate from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education accredited programResidency/Fellowship: Accredited by: American Society of Health-System PharmacistsAmerican College of Clinical Pharmacyor equivalent clinical training/experienceLicensure: Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the U.S.Experience Requirements One of the following: Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency within the past yearMinimum 12 months of recent clinical pharmacist experience (within last 18 months)Prior clinical privileges within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) within the past 36 monthsRequired: Training or experience in pain managementCertifications & Health Requirements Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross – in-person only)Immunization and health examinationsHepatitis B immunity verification (or approved exception)Services performed at military treatment facilities and associated clinicsMust comply with all credentialing, privileging, and federal healthcare requirementsFull background disclosure required, including professional and clinical historyWhy Join This Opportunity Work within a collaborative, mission-driven military healthcare systemFocus on impactful pain management and patient-centered careStable, structured schedule with predictable hoursOpportunity to contribute to multidisciplinary and telehealth initiatives#J-18808-Ljbffr
