Responsibilities Oversee all types of firm technology contracts and the related risk management considerationsDevelop and operate the technology procurement systems, processes and controls for the firmServe as the lead for legal review and negotiation for all firm contracts with technology aspectsLead communications and direct negotiations with counterparties and internal stakeholdersDevelop, maintain, and enhance a contract lifecycle management tool for firm technology agreementsEstablish standard playbooks and templates with preferred and acceptable contractual termsMaintain awareness of major industry changes affecting technology agreementsCollaborate across the Office of General Counsel, Information Technology, Procurement, and other firm Business Services departmentsSeek opportunities to extend methods beyond business services to situations where the firm contracts on behalf of a clientRequirements Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA approved school or equivalentActive license in good standing with a state barA minimum of three years of contract review and negotiation experience, preferably at a large law firm, professional services firm, or within a corporate procurement or legal team with similar responsibilitiesFamiliarity with generative artificial intelligence products and capabilitiesExperience with records systems and Microsoft products, including Word and TeamsData privacy laws and regulations, including GDPRExceptional critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, communication, and writing skills for a variety of audiencesInterest and experience in enterprise technologyAbility to organize and synthesize a wide array of information from internal and external sourcesStrong personal and professional ethical values, respectful demeanor, integrity, and energy level to meet the demands of the position.Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in contract review and negotiation, particularly in technology agreements, while maintaining compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR.
