This attorney will primarily review, draft, and negotiate contracts for Cobb County Board of Commissioners and other County stakeholders. This position is part of the Transactional Group for the County Attorney's Office. Negotiates, drafts, and reviews contracts; analyzes terms and conditions to ensure County's interests are protected; resolves contract disputes; ensures compliance with internal policies and public laws; maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations; performs related duties as assigned.Physical requirements: light physical effort in sedentary to light work, may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of light objects (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods at a keyboard or workstation.Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctorate Degree required.Minimum of three years of experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts, including local government transactions.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience in IT contracts, particularly local government IT contracts, including cyber security issues.Must possess a valid Driver's License and certification and licensure from the Georgia Bar Association.Sensory Requirements Ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, taste, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals.
