The Tractor Technician is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, service and repair of J.B. Hunt semi-tractors and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and tractor repairs on diesel engines, transmission, fuel systems, electrical systems and air brakes (FHWA inspections)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-duty truck and tractor issues to OEM and company standards
- Complete work orders within SRT and warranty guidelines
- Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication
- Participate in OEM training and assist with technician onboarding

Minimum Qualifications: - Candidates must be at least 18 years old
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks or military equivalent
- AC Certification
- At least 1 year in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brake systems
- Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B. Hunt purchasing program
