Job Summary Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant at Big Brothers Big Sisters ofMetro Atlanta (BBBSMA) will execute core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and vendor management, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records. BBBSMA is seeking a strategic, mission‑driven leader to join its headquarters team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a full‑time, exempt position.Key Responsibilities Process Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableManage vendor relationships and support vendor management processesPerform bank and balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entriesMaintain general ledger accuracySupport monthly and year‑end closeTrack and reconcile deferred assets and expensesAssist with audit preparation and documentationSupport cash activity trackingQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2–5 years of accounting experienceExperience with Sage Intacct preferredExperience with SAP Concur (or similar systems) preferredStrong Excel and systems skillsHigh attention to detailWork Environment Routine office environment. This position is located in our Atlanta office, with a flexible, hybrid work schedule.Standard BBBSMA office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 – 5:30 pm.Physical Requirements This position is primarily sedentary and frequently requires the use of standard office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax, and printer).May occasionally require bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs.Compensation & Benefits Base salary is commensurate with experience.
