Location 2859 Paces Ferry Rd, Atlanta, GA, 30339, United StatesPosition SummaryThe Premium Audit Quality Control Manager is a key member of the Premium Audit leadership team, responsible for overseeing senior level staff who evaluate the quality of audits performed. This role provides effective supervision, mentorship, and training to a team of experienced professionals within the Premium Audit Department. The Manager ensures strict adherence to established premium audit procedures and protocols, industry best practices, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.ResponsibilitiesSupervise the quality control review of audits conducted by team members to ensure compliance with established standards and timely completion.Collaborate with managers to address any identified discrepancies or omissions and implement corrective actions.Provide direct, hands‑on oversight for audits that carry legal exposure.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of state‑specific rules and regulations to ensure company compliance with state exception requirements, and provide expert guidance to staff on related issues and inquiries.Maintain current company special rules.Conduct a thorough monthly quality review analysis that incorporates vendor reviews along with staff reviews to identify areas of concern in order to prevent premium leakage; proactively target training opportunities or other appropriate remedies to address gaps in performance.Oversee QC program, staff and vendor auditors.Oversee the work of multiple senior‑level quality control auditors, managing recruitment, selection, delegation of responsibilities, performance monitoring, and evaluations. Utilize in‑depth knowledge of auditing rules, regulations, and standards to assess service delivery, track staff progress toward goals, and offer coaching and feedback as needed.Remain up‑to‑date on advancements in premium audit quality control practices through industry publications, coursework, seminars, and continuous professional development activities. Benchmark against industry best practices to ensure the department maintains its competitive edge and adheres to the highest standards.Leverage comprehensive audit knowledge to design and deliver tailored training programs for PremiumAudit Quality Control staff, focusing on skill enhancement and knowledge development. Evaluate training effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and adapt delivery methods to accommodate various learning styles.Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment by mentoring staff, promoting professional growth, and cultivating a culture of continuous learning and development.Review policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes to ensure their relevance and effectiveness. Implement necessary updates, develop new materials, and ensure clear communication of changes to staff.Report any significant or unusual conditions affecting customers to leadership in a timely manner.Collaborate with the Information Technology team to update and enhance technology resources, ensuring the continued effectiveness and efficiency of audit processes.Learn and stay current with the internal visual system becoming expert level on visual software.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Insurance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experienceTen or more years of audit experience in the insurance industry; five or more years of payroll class code experienceSkill in leadership and supervision (of senior level staff members) with an advanced knowledge of insurance practices, principles and premium audit systems; knowledge, at an advanced level, of payroll taxesProficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability and commitment to maintain confidentialitySkill in analysis and problem solvingAbility to prepare and deliver updates, formal and informal presentations and comprehensive training coursesKnowledge of the National Council Compensation Insurance (NCCI) basic manual and the Insurance Services Office (ISO) – general liability informationSkill in interpersonal interactions, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and with external stakeholdersSkill in planning, time and organizational management with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines; ability to multi‑task effectively while paying attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applicationsBenefitsBonus StructureProfit SharingEmployer Paid Short Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Long Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Life InsuranceVoluntary Life Insurance401K with Company MatchPTOBuilders Insurance Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
