Job Description This is a hybrid full‑time salaried position with HR benefits. The role is for discovery staff attorney at Alston & Bird LLP.Essential Duties Coordinate with Alston Discovery leadership and internal and external client teams.Assist in the development of protocols and workflows for analyzing electronic data.Manage and supervise complex document reviews, legal research and analysis, and other projects.Perform second‑tier review or quality control on a document review.Perform and supervise privilege reviews.Assist client teams in developing witness files, timelines, chronologies, deposition and trial outlines, and memoranda.Create, revise, and update document decision and privilege logs.Preserve confidentiality of client matters.Maintain accurate time‑entry records.Adhere to the firm's policies and procedures, including established best practices.Skills Needed to Be Successful Superior legal analysis skills.Significant experience applying state‑of‑the‑art litigation technology, advanced analytics, and project‑management tools.Ability to supervise and manage discovery attorneys and document/data production in commercial, financial, insurance, product liability, health‑care, IP litigation, and government investigations.Skill to track, evaluate, and provide feedback to improve performance of Project Attorneys.Capability to manage e‑discovery requests in response to subpoenas, requests for production, and other forms of discovery.Ability to train new attorneys on privilege, confidentiality, and e‑discovery policies.Experience supervising foreign‑language document reviews for clients in Europe and Asia.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to establish effective working relationships within the firm and with clients.Responsiveness and flexibility to the immediate requests for assistance inherent in Alston Discovery.Education and Experience Juris Doctor degree; licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state where the attorney resides and works.Billable Hours 1,800 hours per year.Salary $135,000 to $165,000 with an opportunity to earn a bonus of up to $34,000.Equal Opportunity Employer Alston & Bird LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, veteran status, disability, or any other protected category.
