Job Title Float Patient Relations AssociateCompany Oak Street HealthLocation Float role that will require you to work out of sister centers as needed.Role Description Patient Relations Associates (PRAs) play a vital role in supporting patients by educating them on Medicare programs, resources, and affordable insurance coverage options to improve access to care and retention. As the insurance experts at each clinic, PRAs advocate for patients, help them navigate insurance options and bills, and serve as a resource for the care and outreach teams regarding Medicare and eligibility questions. PRAs are especially critical during Medicare's Open Enrollment, ensuring patients are fully informed of all available options.All PRAs report to the Patient Relations Manager or Practice Manager.Responsibilities Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues, including coverage, benefits, eligibility, and maximizing plan advantages.Act as an internal resource in the clinic for providers and staff on insurance questions.Help patients resolve medical bills inside and outside of Oak Street Health and advocate for the patient.Build trust with patients by delivering accurate coverage information.Manage the welcome visit and orientation process for new patients.Educate patients on applying for public benefits such as Public Aid and Extra Help for prescription drugs.Support clinic management on operational activities such as scheduling and billing as needed.Provide exceptional customer service and foster patient engagement through events, including center tours.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications Proficiency in computer programs such as Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, and Excel.U.S. work authorization.Experience helping patients or customers understand their insurance coverage.Passion for creating unmatched patient experiences.Problem‑solving orientation and flexible, positive attitude.Sales background preferred.Supportive attitude toward older adult patients.CRM experience a plus.Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.Experience navigating Medicare and managed care.Reliable transportation for a float role.Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in non‑English languages such as Spanish, Polish, Russian, or others spoken in the communities served, where required.Hours, Pay & Benefits Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40Time Type: Full timePay Range: $21.10 – $40.90 per hour (or base annual full‑time salary). Base salary varies with experience, education, geography, and other factors.
