Senior Portfolio Advisor II Senior Portfolio Advisor II is responsible for the management and oversight of investment activities for a defined set of complex, high net worth client portfolios while serving as a senior investment advisor within the market. The role combines primary portfolio management responsibilities with client advisory and investment leadership, ensuring alignment with investment standards, risk management practices, and strategic objectives.Responsibilities Manage investment activities for major fee‑revenue producing accounts, including high net worth personal trusts and individual investment portfolios.Develop, recommend, and direct the execution of programs designed to achieve bespoke investment objectives using a Goals‑Based approach.Analyze and plan overall investment strategy, revising continuously as goals and objectives change, working closely with the broader client service team.Maintain an integral presence with clients, co‑trustees, consultants, internal partners, and external advisors to ensure communication of client requirements and coordination of portfolio activity.Communicate complex investment concepts and portfolio strategies clearly and effectively to clients and partners.Generate new business in conjunction with the sales and relationship management team and cultivate relationships with referral sources, centers of influence, and internal partners.Represent the firm in client meetings, educational opportunities, and external events to enhance visibility and support business development.Demonstrate mastery of investment strategies, tools, and portfolio construction methodologies through ongoing engagement with national best‑practice groups and broader wealth and asset‑management teams.Engage in thought leadership activities, including publications, educational forums, and practice‑hosted symposiums and events.Adhere to national investment guidelines and risk‑management practices; maintain accountability for best practices as measured by the PM Dashboard and related reporting.Execute firm initiatives, new capabilities, and required training, ensuring consistent adoption and application.Serve on standing investment services committees and contribute subject‑matter expertise and leadership on special projects.Lead others in solving complex investment and client challenges, providing guidance and direction as appropriate, and maintaining a collaborative presence within the local market team.Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, and service objectives through individual and team contributions, exercising independent judgment in complex situations.Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 15 years of investment experience, including research and demonstrated long‑term investment performance meeting objectives.Strong investment judgment combined with advanced portfolio management and client advisory skills.Ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver tailored investment solutions aligned to client goals.Demonstrated ability to contribute to business growth through new client acquisition and relationship expansion.High degree of professionalism, accountability, and adaptability in a dynamic investment environment within a collaborative setting.Knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting and financial principles, associated investment strategies and instruments, and characteristics of various marketplaces.Decision‑making, sales, and negotiating skills required to generate revenue and guide sensitive or difficult situations to agreement.Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in the investment discipline; interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices.Experience leading projects or functional teams with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity preferred.Work authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
