RegistrarSalary: Commensurate with experience.Employment in this role may be contingent upon extramural funding and successful performance, and may be terminated or reduced in percentage of appointment if such funding is not secured or ceases to be available.ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence and Records ManagementServe as custodian of academic records for all current and former students.Ensure integrity, confidentiality, and security of academic records.Oversee academic records processing, registration, degree audits, and graduation.Direct Banner system use, maintenance, and optimization.Lead continuous improvement efforts for data quality and processes.Registration, Enrollment, and Certification ServicesPlan and manage registration, preregistration, enrollment certification, and graduation.Maintain academic calendars, course offerings, and catalog updates.Certify enrollment, academic standing, loan deferments, licensure eligibility, and related documentation.Compliance, Reporting, and Accreditation SupportEnsure compliance with FERPA and applicable regulations.Provide accurate institutional and external reporting, including NSCH, NSDLS, IPEDS, SSCR, AAMC, SACSCOC, and LCME.Maintain audit‑ready processes and documentation.Leadership and Team DevelopmentProvide forward‑thinking leadership and direction for the Registrar's Office.Lead and develop staff through coaching, clear expectations, and professional growth.Establish a culture of excellence, service, integrity, and continuous improvement.Strengthen operational consistency through clear workflows, policies, and standards.Assess team structure, workload, and process gaps and implement solutions.Collaboration and Institutional EngagementPartner with IT on system optimization and upgrades.Collaborate with academic leaders and student services to support institutional needs.Provide guidance on academic policy interpretation.Serve as a resource to students, alumni, faculty, and staff.Other DutiesMaintain the registrar website.Support institutional initiatives and serve on committees.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs.Ensure you remain current with all required training to perform the role effectively.Minimum QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or universityExperience:Five to eight years of progressively responsible experience in registrar operations, academic services, or student records management.Expertise in higher education principles, policies, regulatory requirements, and registrar best practices.Experience managing student information systems, data governance, workflow design, and technology-driven process improvement.Proficiency in enterprise software systems, reporting tools, and data management practices.Demonstrated success leading teams, coaching staff, and building collaborative work environments.Proven ability to assume responsibility quickly, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in fast‑paced contexts.Strong communication skills across diverse stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsEducation:Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or universityExperience:Experience in a medical school or health professions education setting.Banner experience, particularly Banner 9 or higher, specifically systems administration, configuration, and workflow optimization.Experience supporting accreditation, compliance, and institutional reporting.Workday experience is a plus.Morehouse School of Medicine is an equal opportunity/equal access/affirmative action employer fully committed to achieving a diverse workforce and complies with all Federal and Georgia State laws, regulations, and executive orders regarding non-discrimination and affirmative action.
