In this role, you will support Engine Maintenance operations by assisting with the processing, transportation, cleaning, stocking, tagging, and handling of aircraft parts whilehelping maintain shop equipment, facilities, and operational readiness.This position is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail, a safety-focused mindset, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced aircraft maintenance environment.Position SummaryThe Maintenance Utility Worker supports aircraft engine maintenance operations by transporting parts between departments, maintenance shops, stockrooms, and local vendors. This role also assists with parts cleaning, facility cleaning, shop support, inventory restocking, and the proper tagging and routing of unserviceable parts.Team members will operate shop vehicles including road trucks, electric carts, and forklifts. They will also use approved detergents, cleaning solutions, media equipment, and established procedures to complete Ground Support Equipment and shop-related functions.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport Engine Maintenance operations by assisting with the processing, transportation, cleaning, and handling of aircraft partsHelp achieve departmental goals and operational objectives through reliable shop supportMaintain the condition and cleanliness of shop equipment and facilitiesOperate shop vehicles including road trucks, electric carts, and forkliftsTransport and deliver parts between departments, maintenance shops, stockrooms, and local vendorsRestock parts daily in designated stockroomsTag unserviceable parts and coordinate shipment to the appropriate shop or vendorLabel stockroom boxes with part numbers and pricing when availableUse approved detergents, cleaning solutions, media equipment, and established proceduresPerform Ground Support Equipment and shop-related functions as assignedAssist with parts transportation, parts cleaning, and facility cleaningLearn all maintenance utility processes within the shop environmentProvide support wherever needed to help ensure operational successLearn and utilize Delta's MIRS/GEM computer systems applicable to assigned responsibilitiesWork as part of a team while maintaining strong attention to safety, accuracy, and complianceIdentify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities when possibleFollow all operational procedures and safety requirementsQualifications High school diploma or GED requiredAbility to read, write, and comprehend EnglishAbility to understand information contained in technical manualsBasic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as they relate to aircraft maintenance operationsAbility to safely operate shop vehicles including forklifts, electric carts, and road trucksAbility to lift up to 70 lbs. and meet the physical requirements necessary to perform essential job functionsStrong multitasking skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressureTeam-oriented mindsetStrong attention to detailStrong commitment to safety complianceMinimum Requirements Must possess a valid driver's licenseMust be at least 18 years of ageMust successfully pass an extensive background checkMust successfully pass a drug screeningMust successfully pass an audiogramMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysEEOC StatementSTS Technical Services is an equal opportunity employer.
