Technical Development & Commercialization ManagerOur Gypsum Division is looking for a Technical Development & Commercialization Manager. This role will bridge the gap between technology creation and market readiness. This position ensures that products or systems are not only technically sound but also aligned with commercial goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. The correct candidate will motivate, coach, and inspire by demonstrating, promoting, and applying Georgia‑Pacific's Principle Based Management (PBM) in daily actions and decisions to deliver maximum value to the business and our customers. We operate on a hybrid schedule with remote flexibility. It will also include 50% travel.What You Will DoLead Product Launches: Oversee the commercialization of new products, processes, and raw material optimizations across the Division.Drive Strategic Growth: Identify and develop product/process initiatives aligned with the "Gypsum Vision," including challenging established theories to foster "creative destruction."Vet R&D Ideation: Provide technical feasibility assessments and Commercialization & InnovationOperational Excellence & OptimizationDirect Plant Trials: Oversee trial planning and execution to ensure objectives are met while minimizing waste and opportunity costs.Maximize Efficiency: Support OEE improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and process troubleshooting to enhance plant robustness.Optimize Formulations: Identify raw material and formulation changes that reduce costs without compromising product quality.Strategy & StewardshipTechnical Advisory: Serve as the "Technical Conscience" and subject matter expert for Intellectual Property and product composition.Resource Management: Strategically deploy team resources to high-value projects.Crisis & Supply Support: Provide technical guidance for supply chain interruptions and raw material management.to R&D concepts.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in a Science or Technical related fieldTen (10) or more years of Gypsum experience.What Will Put You AheadSix Sigma or similar experienceExperience leading, mentoring or coaching others in a manufacturing or industrial environmentBenefitsOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
