We are seeking a Group Manager to lead the Civil / Structural Substations engineering function within a Transmission & Distribution practice. This role provides technical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for a growing team delivering high-voltage substation projects across the Southeast region.#Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a Civil / Structural Substations engineering group, providing technical and operational direction across multiple projectsPromote a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring adherence to internal QA/QC processes and industry standardsOversee recruitment, staffing, training, mentoring, and career development of engineering staffManage resource planning and allocation to ensure effective and efficient project deliveryProvide senior technical input and act as advisor or project lead on key or complex substation projectsMonitor project performance, including budgets, schedules, quality, and utilisation, implementing corrective actions where requiredSupport business development activities, including early opportunity identification, go/no-go decisions, and proposal developmentCollaborate with regional and national leadership teams to align delivery strategy and operational goalsSupport departmental budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including engineering workflows, tools, and delivery processesRepresent the group in cross-office and practice-wide coordination meetingRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5+ years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering within utility or infrastructure projectsStrong technical background in substation civil/site design highly desirablePrevious consulting or EPC experience preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities and lead multidisciplinary teams effective#J-18808-Ljbffr
