Your work will help more than 1.7 billion gallons of water to be treated safely and efficiently, protecting vital water resources.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTravel to projects throughout the regionConfigure, commission, and maintain Control Panels, PLCs, and SCADA SystemsSupport the installation of Control Panels, PLCs, SCADA Servers, and WorkstationsTroubleshoot process control issuesTroubleshoot SCADA communications issuesWork remotely from home or local facilitiesRemotely monitor assets across facilities and identify maintenance needs or service degradationRemotely assist with troubleshooting process control issuesRemotely apply minor updates and fixes to existing SCADA & PLC systemsWork with facility managers to identify technology needsDevelop plans to improve facility control systems in alignment with facility needsCollaborate with other disciplines on equipment installation, startup & commissioningConfigure equipment to conform to process control and resiliency standardsManage SCADA user accounts and access controlsOvertime or non‑regular schedule work may be requiredTools & EquipmentGeneral office equipment, including telephone, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipmentServers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that support the commercial and industrial network environmentOperating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipmentHere's what you'll needA principle‑driven person that exudes Integrity, Curiosity, & EmpathyA solid technical foundation focusing on electrical and/or control system designEstimated (50 %) travel throughout the Southeast Region will be requiredValid driver's license with no major infractionsValid ‘REAL ID' driver's license as required by TSA for travelIdeally, You'll Also HaveA person who is visionary; one who plans far ahead and focuses on what is importantBackground in networking or information systems managementOther corollary skills: automotive repair, mechanical skills, process, manufacturing knowledge, etc.Working ConditionsSafety is a core value at Jacobs.
