OverviewDepartment of Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University seeks an ABOS certified (or eligible) Orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery to join the Department at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Position is full‑time academic with possibility of advancement and competitive compensation model including excellent health, dental and retirement benefits.ResponsibilitiesProvide shoulder, elbow, and hand trauma care, including complex upper extremity reconstruction of soft tissue, neural, and bony injuries.Manage high‑energy traumatic injuries and perform microvascular and peripheral nerve procedures as needed.Contribute to medical education of plastic and orthopaedic resident and fellow trainees through weekly teaching, clinical rotations and anatomy sessions.Participate in academic research and pursue scholarly activities in collaboration with an interdisciplinary faculty of 10 upper extremity surgeons.Work principally at St. Joseph's Hospital and collaborate with existing providers to care for a high volume of complex patients.QualificationsABOS certified or eligible Orthopedic surgeon.Fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.Demonstrated experience in shoulder, elbow, and hand trauma and complex upper extremity reconstruction.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.NotePosition tasks must be performed in‑person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option.
