The Madison County Health Department is seeking to fill a clerical position. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clerical duties, including WIC registration, in support of the health department programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data entry, ability to maintain detailed filing and record systems, and numerical accuracy. Must have good interviewing and communication skills. Requires good customer service and excellent computer skills. Good reading and comprehension abilities. Other duties as assigned in support of management and staff.
As Administrative Support within the Madison County Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities- Provides clerical and administrative support to assigned staff and programs.
- Performs front desk and receptionist duties, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Prepares, files, scans, and maintains records, reports, and other documents.
- Enters and updates information in agency databases and electronic systems.
- Schedules appointments and assists with general office operations
- Maintains office supplies and operates standard office equipment,
- Maintains confidentiality and performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of general office or administrative experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Medical experience and bilingual skills preferred.
