Position OverviewWe are hiring a Permanent, Full‑time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet at Ryder in Marietta, Georgia.Compensation & BenefitsHourly pay: $31.50 per hourCertification bonus: $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarterSign‑on bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 daysSchedule: Monday‑Friday, weekends offShift: Second Shift, 1:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.Benefits: 401(k) match, medical/dental/vision, paid time off, 12 weeks paid maternity leave, additional time off for veterans, stock discount, PPE & uniforms, boot allowance, technician tuition repayment up to $5,000ResponsibilitiesPerform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and complex mechanical/electronic inspections with minimal supervision.Replace defective components as instructed.Maintain the facility and support shop operations.Interact with customers and drivers to determine nature of complaints.Use shop management and electronic documentation systems.Adhere to all safety, DOT, and corporate compliance guidelines.Mentor junior technicians and access internal/external maintenance documents.Complete required training such as SBTIII (within 180 days) and OEM online diagnostic courses (within 365 days).QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Vocational or technical certification or post‑secondary degree (preferred).Minimum of three (3) years of relevant mechanical repair experience, preferably on heavy‑duty and medium‑duty equipment.Basic diagnostic skills for AC and electrical systems.Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (preferred).Computer skills (PC, Windows, mouse).Other RequirementsMust be willing and able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire.Must pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test.Must pass a background and motor‑vehicle check.Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
