This is a hands‑on field role ideal for technicians with experience in structured cabling, AV systems, and access control who want exposure to project coordination and light IT integration.What You'll DoInstall, route, terminate, and test low‑voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, speaker wire, access control wiring)Mount and install TVs, ceiling speakers, amplifiers, and related AV equipmentPull and terminate wiring for access control systems (card readers, door strikes, REX devices, magnetic locks)Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, riser diagrams, and wiring schematicsPerform site surveys and walkthroughs to plan cabling paths and equipment placementTest and troubleshoot systems using cable testers, tone generators, and multimetersLabel, document, and organize cabling runs and patch panels to company standardsCoordinate with IT, AV teams, and general contractors to ensure smooth project executionAssist with basic IT‑related tasks such as switch patching, access point mounting, and device setupMaintain a clean, safe job site in compliance with OSHA and local building codesWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience in low‑voltage installation (structured cabling, AV, access control, or similar)Working knowledge of BICSI, TIA/EIA standards, and NEC Article 725Ability to read construction documents and wiring diagramsProficiency with common low‑voltage tools (punch‑down tools, testers, drills, fish tape)Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple job sitesValid driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)Willingness to learn and support basic IT/network functionsPreferred (Nice to Have)BICSI Installer certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience with access control platforms (Lenel, Genetec, S2, Verkada)Familiarity with AV systems (Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Extron)CompTIA ITF+, A+, or Network+ certificationOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationWhy Join UsHands‑on exposure to AV, security, and networking systemsOpportunities for training and certificationCollaborative team culture with room to grow technicallyPhysical RequirementsThis role requires regular lifting, climbing ladders, working overhead, and extended periods of standing and bending in active job sites.#J-18808-Ljbffr
