Human Resources Manager Human Resources Manager leads all HR operations within the folding carton manufacturing facility. Responsible for driving workforce effectiveness, ensuring employment law and policy compliance and fostering a positive employee experience. Develop and implement the human resources strategy, programs, and systems within the operation's budgets and objectives, aimed at leveraging individual and group contributions in the organization.Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., OSHA, FMLA, ADA)Understand and communicate company benefits including facilitation of annual information meetings for open enrollmentServe as the SME for all benefits and policy questionsManage HRIS, using Workday, for recruitment, payroll changes, terminations, etc.Support employees in accessing their profile in Workday and accurately make necessary changes and updates to their personal informationManage and communicate information related to FMLA, STD and LTD claimsConsistently interact with employees regarding benefits, compensation, training and development needsFacilitate conflict resolution issues, coach and guide employees facing personal and professional challengesManage the Human Resources Department by providing strategy, vision, direction, and guidance; maintain scheduling of work and assigning tasks, evaluating, coaching and counseling employeesTrack performance management, notify leadership regarding upcoming annual reviews, gather documentation for recommended step progression increases to ensure a pay for performance practice is managed consistently and to maintain a compensation matrix to retain and motivate employeesEstablish recruiting methods to ensure the highest-level competency of personnelOversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integrationIdentify, design and facilitate training and development opportunitiesUnderstand and communicate ISO 9001-2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001 standards as it relates to the Human Resources DepartmentParticipate in continuous improvement efforts intended to add value and to promote customer satisfaction and coworker engagementAct as an active member of the management team, assisting to plan, strategize, evaluate and improve overall plant performanceComplete any and all additional assignments as requiredRequirements B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of HR management experience, with at least 2 years in printed packaging/folding carton industry, highly preferredStrong HR acumen, leadership skills, and a passion for building high‑performing teams in an industrial environmentStrong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practicesProficiency with HRIS systems, preferably Workday; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP) is a plusPhysical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands, handle, finger, or feel; talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
