Description: Candidates should be aware of the type of unit. The unit is designated for pre/post procedures for specific departments. There is no weekend coverage required. Call is not required. Floating may occur within the facility/scope of practice as needed. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Candidates will undergo a clinical screening for a fit assessment. If the clinical screen is passed, candidates will be presented to the manager for a final decision. The maximum allowable time off is 7 days. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, candidates are expected to work it. If two major holidays occur during the assignment period, candidates are expected to work both. If three major holidays occur during the assignment period, candidates are expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant by the deadline, a pushback of 2 weeks may occur due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. The unit has a daily census of 20-35 patients. Candidates may have patient ratios of 4 per nurse as standard. The unit does not accept travel pairs. Internal candidates must be away from their previous position for one full year before applying as a traveler. Compliance documents must be completed within the specified time frame for onboarding. The candidate's profile must reflect all time worked in prior positions.
